Two figures emerge from a fractured field of gold.
Rendered in a radiant metallic finish, their bodies take on an almost iconic presence—elevated, monumental, yet caught within the same constrained dynamic. One figure drives forward with force, while the other resurfaces, as if expelled by the very surface it sought to escape. The gold ground bears the visible traces of impact, its dense texture recording each collision as a permanent imprint of motion resisted.
This composition does not describe freedom, but containment. The brilliance of gold suggests elevation, even transcendence, yet every trajectory remains confined within the same field. Energy is not released—it is absorbed, redistributed, and returned. What appears as escape becomes, in reality, a controlled displacement within a closed system.
The gold operates as both amplification and illusion. It magnifies presence, giving the figures a heroic aura, while simultaneously reinforcing the impossibility of departure. The more the figure asserts itself, the more it reveals the structure that contains it.
Through this interplay of impact, reflection and repetition, Find Your Way – Gold exposes a fundamental paradox: the pursuit of escape, when driven by force alone, does not lead outward—it deepens the imprint within the very system one attempts to leave.
